Privacy Policy
This site follows the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. There is no login, no newsletter and no form. The server keeps standard request logs, which include your IP address, for security and fault diagnosis. If you email contact@covidlive.com.au, we keep your message only to answer it.
Advertising and analytics
The advertising pays for the site. Two companies collect data about your visit under their own policies, and set their own cookies and browser storage:
- Publift sells the advertising through Google Ad Manager and Amazon. These partners read your IP address and some build an advertising profile.
- Google Analytics counts visits and pages read.
Neither gets your name or email, because we do not have them. Both run servers outside Australia, so what they collect leaves the country.
Your choices
A consent notice from our advertising partner appears where the law requires one, and you can reopen it to change your answer. You can also block third-party cookies in your browser, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The pages still work without them.
Health data
The disease figures we publish are government population totals. They identify nobody and they are not your health information.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Write to contact@covidlive.com.au and we answer within 30 days, free. Usually the answer is that we hold nothing.
We update this page when the site changes. Last updated 20 September 2026.
